Chapter Text

Having a meeting this late in the night was something Jason would've never thought to be possible, even less having a meeting about some random people being in the ship with them. But here he was nonetheless. In a room, the seven of them all together, talking about what to do with some people that were in the ship.

Jason didn't know what to think about it, he had just woke up from a...well, he didn't even know what to call it, coma? long nap? good sleep after being hit in the head? He didn't know, but that's not what he was bothered about. He didn't know what to think about them. Three people had boarded the ship and he wasn't even conscious to defend it. He had barely talked to one of them and he seemed really suspicious, but that was the same guy who had saved him, he should be grateful and let them in, right? His thoughts went to Piper. Piper was alone in the ship when this happened (well, not completely alone as Hedge was there too but that's beside the point). Those people were there and he couldn't defend her. They had to pay for going on a ship that wasn't theirs, right?

The room fell into a heavy silence as the seven demigods sat. Annabeth broke the silence, her voice laced with concern. "Okay, anyone care to explain who are these three individuals being, at this moment, in the same ship as us? And, what do they want? Also, wasn't Jason injured or something? How is the gone all of the sudden?"

"Okay, enough questions." Said Piper. Jason didn't know if she was using her charmspeak or not, sometimes not knowing terrified him, thought he'd never say that to anyone. Piper looked at Annabeth, then at the rest of them."I was in Jason's cabin when I heard some noises and voices on the deck, then, I went to Coach's cabin to let him know, and we went to the deck together. When we got to the deck, there they were, climbing the ship and whispering to each other. We tried to make them leave guys, we really tried, they told us about how they were traveling and haven't eaten in six days, they told us their names too, though i'm not sure they're their real ones, they are Asher, the one who was next to me, and then Rebecca and Oliver I think. Anyway, we tried to make them leave but then Jason showed up and-"

"What!?" Said Jason. For him, this was brand new information, he didn't remember being there, for all he remembered he was hit by something big and then got up in his cabin with some stranger's hand in his face, but then again, his memory wasn't his forte. He was still surprised nonetheless. Surprised and annoyed. Since Hera (f*ck her) took away his memories he had never fully recovered, not like Percy who had taken a potion and his memories had all gone back, no, he had half his life's memory, so he gets a little sensitive when he can't remember something.

"Yes, Jason, you were there and told us not to do anything to them. You went to talk to them and then you passed out. We had to drag you to your cabin and then the so called Asher said he knew I was a demigod and that they were too and that he could save you, and he did. Don't you remember?"

Before Jason could respond, thought he doubtfully ever will, Annabeth spoke. "Wait what!? Not only they are in out ship, they're demigods and you let oe of the "cure" Jason? Piper I cannot even begin to tell you the millions reasons about how wrong that is. Didn't you think how he could be a son of some god who could kill Jason? Did it occur to you that the other could outmatch Hedge being alone? And what if-"

"I made him swear upon the River Styx to save Jason." She cut her while she was talking. "I was in a bad situation and I couldn't lose him. I'm sorry if I wasn't 100% logical Annabeth, but I did what I had to do in order to save one of us, and I would do it again."

The room went silent. Even Jason, who was clueless sometimes, could feel the tension between Annabeth and Piper. Not even the fact that he was still annoyed about not remembering what happened was strong enough to make him not noting it.

Frank broke the silence. "Guys, I think we should talk about the important thing." He began. "What do we do with them"

Annabeth was the first to say anything. "I don't think we should trust them. We don't know anything about them, and they just showed up out of nowhere."

Frank nodded in agreement, his brow furrowed with worry. "She's right. We can't afford to take risks, not with everything that's at stake."

Leo's brow furrowed in thought, he was nervous, tapping the table with his fingers "I agree, they could be dangerous. We can't just let them stay without knowing who they are."

"Finally something we can agree on Leo." Said Annabeth. "Hazel?"

Hazel's gaze softened as she spoke, her tone gentle yet resolute. "I don't know guys...Nemesis told Leo and I that Nico had six days to live, and it got me thinking, if they were Nico, and he was asking them for help...I would like them to help him. So, I say we let them in."

Percy nodded thoughtfully. "I understand where you're coming from Annabeth, but I agree with Hazel, if I've learned something throughout these years is to never let another demigod behind, even if that sacrifices whatever you're doing for the gods."

Then Piper spoke. "I'm with Hazel on this one, they saved Jason, I'm not saying we should let them in the ship forever. Maybe ask them some questions and have some more information about where they are going and how can we help, we don't even know if they are against us."

"Great, that makes it three to three." Annabeth said. "Jason. You decide."

Jason felt the weight of the room bearing down on him. All eyes were on him, but he didn't know what to do or say. He tried to find an answer contemplating both sides. Option A, they make them go away. Pros: they don't threaten the mission, they stop wasting time. Cons: The three of them would probably die. Option B, we let them in. Pros: They don't die, maybe they're good people. Cons: The group dies and the mission and the world itself dies with them too. Not very good options he had. Nonetheless, he now knew what he wanted to do.

"We should keep an eye on them, shifts to guard them, one person at a time, they sleep on the stables."

"Are you saying what I think you're saying, Jason?" Asked Annabeth.

"I'm saying we let them in,"
